Yes sir...Just have to go through the motions now. My primary has to do another referral to Orthopedics in in Fayetteville, who sends it over to community care their, who finds a specialist here willing to do the operation and follow up. Hopefully soon...
Things would be a lot more efficient and cost effective without all the referrals and passing it all down the line. Keep us posted
Hope they don’t string you along very much longer and just fix you back up.

There is a blessing in all this. In fact many. Hope you have success in finding a specialist soon to take care of the knee. Prayers sent.
I think things would get better in the VA if these folks would get off this job security trip they have been on forever. The way I'm seeing it, it's kind of like the highway dept. if they just patch the problem, 1 customer thinks they're happy and everything's good for a little while, all the while they know in a bit, the problem returns, wash and repeat instead of totally fixing the problem to start with. Hence, put a on a cut, w/o antibiotic, and when it's infected patient returns for more treatment...
**Ankle Update**...Finally got to see an orthopedic specialist on my ankle. Back story, in 1979 while on Winter Reforger, a major mock war exercise in Germany, while loading the groceries for the Battalion, I slipped while standing on the tailgate of my truck, In falling off to the ground my foot hung in the handle on the end/edge of the tailgate. causing excessive damage to that ankle. It never healed properly and being in my service medical file, I get compensated for it every month. Long story short, the VA has been taking x-rays of the foot up until the first week of may this year my primary care physician FINALLY did an MRI. The specialist today said EVERY tendon associated with my foot and ankle is stark raving mad at me and is massively enflamed. HURRAY!!!! Eureka, someone found the reason for the pain, and swelling I've been suffering with, and not telling me, "well you don't have any broken bones"...
He put me in a Medical boot, and on crutches for a month, and put me on some, believe it or not turmeric, and cumin capsules for inflammation. Yep, those two are spices. Also subscribed Meloxicam, and a 5 day regimen of steroids. No Meloxicam till a full day after I finish the steroids. But NO weight on the foot till I go back and see him in 4 weeks. So no fishing for me till then. Momma went on the road till the end of the week, and I can't tote my rod and jig box on crutches, DANG IT, I already tried here at home with an old lower end of a rod...didn't work. So, I get to sit and tie me some more jigs instead...
And till my ankle is better, my knee is on hold. Sorry for being long winded, but that's where I'm at for now. Tight lines and full stringers to everyone. I will update you all when I know more. God Bless everyone and stay safe.
Thank you for the update my friend. Now that the problem has "FINALLY" been identified, the proper medication and healing can begin. Prayers DO CHANGE THINGS in the name of Jesus. Go and tie some awesome lures and be ready to catch a bunch when you return to the water to fish.
