I use a lot of fluorocarbon line on my reels and it can be aggravating with line memory. Here’s a couple things I do that seem to work for me.
Install line on reel from spool in same direction. If line looks twisted coming off spool, flip it over.
Don’t feel the spool all the way to the edge. I personally stop at 50% capacity.
I run the new spool of line under hot water a couple of times and spray the spool and line with a line conditioner such as reel magic.
Over time, you will get line twist from the motion when reeling in.
You can spool out the line with no weight behind the boat while idling to remove
Every reel has different characteristics but you’ll find what it likes.
