I got a Hbird 4000 that still works, a Hbird Wide View portrait that still works and a LEI Green Box Flasher that still works. I would say it depends on the unit care giver more than anything.

Yep they were the bomb back then and look where we are today. I had one that I had a spare tranducer for that dad would borrow the unit and stick over the side of the boat just to be able to use it.:D Man I wish I could talk my financial planner into letting me byuy even the 797 but its just not worth the cost of alimony and losing half my stuff. Heck she would probably get the boat anyway. But someday.........................................

I'm using an old Eagle Ultra Classic (160 vert. pix.) right now. My next major purchase will be a 997 SI. I'll probably quit fishin' for a year just to play with the unit!
Went to my sister's house the other night and there were a new pair of those " Heely" shoes beside my 7 year old nephew while he was sleeping. They have a pop down wheel in the heal and all the kids want 'em. His Dad said that Landon will think that the "Heely" fairy had came.
I said yea... I'm waiting on the "Humminbird" fairy myself!!

My financial advisor at that time would have said go for it but since the "merge" he lost control of the deciding vote. Being single does have its advantages!!!

I guess I could just buy it and deal with the consequences. They always said its easier to gain forgiveness that get permission!!:D

Since I "forgot" to announce my purchase at home, I may not be the best one to give you guys advice, but I can give you the sum total of my 31 years experience with marriage.

Pay careful attention to the following. It is the gospel truth!

    Titleman

    Words Women Use

1.) FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right, and you need to shut up.

    2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means half an hour. Don't be mad about this, it is just the same 5 minutes you use when it's your turn to help do things around the house.

3.) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine (see #1).

4.) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
5.) Loud Sigh: This is not actually a word but a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6.) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a woman can make to a man. "That's okay" means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7.) Thanks: A woman is thanking you. Do not question or faint. Just say "you're welcome".

8.) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying "%@&* YOU!"

9.) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "what's wrong" - for the woman's response refer to #3.

    Hi All,

Just got an email from BassPro. They are offering items over a couple hundred dollars a special finance plan. They will charge equal monthly installments on your credit card which makes this unit around $360 a month for 6 months. I'm trying to convince the wife....how about you.

    Later,
    Buzz
