The weight really doesn't matter, it works with whatever weight just takes more line out with less weight. I use 1 oz weights and have a chart up to 27 feet deep, have caught fish that deep and catch a lot at 20 foot deep, something I really would have not thought possible a few years ago.
But are you still at a 45 degree or way back?
