I've been wondering the same thing with mine, I have 14'ers and if I put the 8 slot where it has good support for the middle the tips all bow down and fly everywhere, then if you put it at the tips the middle bows, I'm afraid over time it's gonna cause warping. Been thinking of calling drift master
I do what Erin is doing. When on the road I take the long tips and slip a bungie cord cinch around 4 of them. This keeps them from bouncing and tangling.

Just finished building mine and putting them in. I made them to fit my t-rail so I could remove them during hunting season. Had to put a brace under to take out some of the movement but it worked out well.
