The only outboard motor I ever remember my Grandpa having/using was a 10HP Johnson (that weighed a ton
) and it would scoot that row boat & the three of us around pretty good !!

The super 10 was direct drive ,no transmission. Lot of guys got threw out of boats standing up cranking them.
