First time pulling cranks

Can someone explain to me what pushing cranks is. I assume pulling is like what I do when long lining jigs. Not sure how you could push something.

As I understand it .... you're "pushing" cranks if your rods are pointing/angled towards the front half of the boat, and "pulling" if the rods are pointing/angled towards the rear of the boat.

I can't figure out why throwing a couple of crank baits out and dragging them behind the boat is so hard. Tom with all the gadgets you got driving the boat it should be easy. If I can do it anyone can.

I gave up on wagging my tail behind me ( cranks) and just went for a cooldown ride and the fired up my neon signs. Sonar is easy.

Pulling is pulling the cranks without a weight and controlling depth by length of line out . Pushing is using weights usually around 3 oz. three feet a head of your crank bait and your depth is controlled by the weight.....with the line layed back at a 45 degree angle your depth will be approx. 2/3 of the amount of line out to the weight.

I've gotta learn to push cranks..... Gonna get me an edge a cation over in sippi in two weeks. Gonna set my boat up after that trip and try it on Martin.

Took some time to figure out to speed up some when making my wide turns to go back. Went through a can of dip that 1st time with all the mistakes learned

I sure like these line counter reels with clickers.
