32 years ago today, my wife and I went on our first date and never looked back. Since that day neither of us never dated another person and were married about a year and a half later. Sure we have had our bumps in the road, but I would not change a thing even if I could. She has always stuck by any decision or choice I have made and has really never had a problem with how much I fish and hunt, and I fish a lot. The funny thing is that we are and have always been the classic opposites attract couple. I have always been quite social, and a bit on the heavy metal side of things. Even to this day I still like to turn up the Metallica or Black Sabbath from time to time. She has never liked nor had any interest in hunting or fishing and hard rock has definitely never been her thing. But deep down, in what truly counts, we are one in the same. Morally and ethically we mesh perfectly and it has led to an amazing life. I could never thank her enough for the life she has given me. Three wonderful sons, two grandsons, and her unwavering love everyday. Neither of us has ever been much into material things, but today I figured what the heck, she deserves something nice. For the past 6 months or so she has had to drive our car because her pick up truck, that she loved so much, finally died, so today I bought her a pretty nice Trail Blazer, 4wd, power everything. Guess what? She liked it. I can't wait to see what the next 32 years will bring.
