Gave it a shot today. It was warm about 38. Fish were hiding on me so none iced today. I will try again tomorrow. So far it worked good. I was fishing a 1/16 oz. jig head.

I think your confusing me with Pappy, but that's okay with me! Thanks for the info! Maybe Pappy and Pappa need to hook up and go slay some fish sometime. Boy would I get some lessons!

I am ordering some spools and other crappie equipment on Wed. Cant wait to fish! Farmboy just got two spools of the orange braid in the mail and is bringing one in to work for our guys in our shop who fish, to check out.

I want to thank everyone on here for taking time to give me their insight on braid for crappie fishing. I love this site and thank God I found it when i did! I am going to spool up with braid on the majority of my reels. I have "Liquid braid" on one of my crappie reels and i also have used Fins wind tamer on 3 of my bass reels. The liquid braid looped horribly on the tip, i was using this outfit last spring for opening day of trout season here in Illinois and it nearly ruined my outing, although i did manage to catch a limit the 2nd day on it. Its coming off in the next few weeks. The wind tamer i would rate about a 6 out of 10, it still tip loops and does wind knot up as well. I am going to give Josh's Bonehead braid a shot and fish this spring like im starving to death!!!! LOL Thanks CDC family, you all are the best!

I looked for Bonehead @ BPS and they didn't have it so I bought PowerPro. I'm going to order some this week so I can see the difference. I can honestly say that today it was a vast improvement over Mono. I could feel when the line made contact with a limb and the thump seemed more clear and exact. Josh, when I spool up with your line on my other jiggin pole, I'll rig them both the same. It should help get a clear comparison at least against Power Pro. DISCLAIMER! This Is my first exp with braided line so keep that in mind, I probably don't know what I'm doing but I sure have fun!

Hey really appreciate the orders guys. We have talked back and forth with BPS on getting our stuff in there. You are also correct on feeling every little thing with braided line. Hope you guys enjoy and looking forward to more reviews. If you have any more question ask away. Thanks Josh

True to form I received my Bonhead 12 yellow today . Getting ready to spool some up on my new favorite jiggin rod. I'm going to fish with both the Bonehead and Power Pro, one in each hand or back to back. Will post thoughts and comments after our tourney on Sat. Now to go find fish! Thanks Josh for getting it here on time. Looking forward to trying it out.
