Fished some long dead end canals around Lake Salvador yesterday afternoon. 52 air temp and about 53 water temp. Water was cleeeeeean but still with the brown color. Very little water movement if any.

Tried hitting the banks with corks then and pulling them back to about 10 feet off the banks. Most canals were about 3' at the banks and 8-10' in the middle. Threw different colors, corks at, different depths. Jigged on pilings, gas wells, what little deadfall we could find. Threw the roadrunner, and nothing.

Had 1 bite late in the day under a cork that I missed because I had too much slack in the line. It was near the only place we saw some bait - a school of shad meandered by the boat.

Started with about 7-10kt north wind and ended with 3kt or less. Beautiful day to run the boat.

Found a couple of deep holes on the way home that seemed to be holding a few fish, marked them on the finder but didn't try deep jigging them. Going try Thursday I think to see if a little warmer temp helps out!
