    I just received an update from the Corp in Vicksburg. As of yesterday, prediction for Larto crest is 48-49’.

    Thank you so much. I appreciate your help in getting information. I will continue to check back. Several Trailers have been hauled out today and I saw the truck with road barricades go by this morning. I imagine road to the dam has been closed. Thanks again.

    The National Weather Service and Rivergages.com has projections that you can keep an eye on. The information that I got from the Corp was a response to an email that I sent to someone with LDWF.

    Those are the ones I've been checking but they don't give a predicted crest for Larto or I didn't see

    Yeah I know. Keep an eye on the black river, especially @ Acme. The black river crested at 49.30 in 2016. That put Larto at 52.12. A difference of almost 3ft. This should help you gage what it will be, give or take a foot or less.

    Looks like @ acme it will be around 45 on Tuesday....headed to larto Saturday

    the Black River at Jonesville l&d
    * from Tuesday afternoon until further notice.
    * At 6:00 PM Thursday the estimated stage was 46.6 feet.
    * Minor flooding is forecast.
    * Flood stage is 50.0 feet.
    * Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage early Tuesday
    afternoon and continue to rise to near 52.0 feet Wednesday March 14th.
    * Impact... at 52.0 feet... backwater flooding on right bank threatens
    residences.
    * At 51.4 feet... the Columbia Recreation Area is inaccessible.
    * Impact... at 50.0 feet... Highway 124 south near the town of Larto
    starts to flood. Backwater flooding begins in unprotected areas on
    right bank.
