Hey Pastor, we fished that Hwy.33 Bridge hard. We had 8 poles out and 4 of them had shiners a foot above the jig. We caught one crappie on a shiner. Then we used that 4 letter word, MOVE!!!

I know what ya'll mean about fish being stacked in the channel on D'Arbonne and not biting. A friend of mine and I ventured up there Saturday morning. He caught one dink on a shiner and that was the only bite we got. I just didn't move like ya'll did. We hung out at D'Arbonne hoping they might turn on. They might have turned on, but if they ever did it was after 12:00. I don't know what was wrong. We tried almost every color of jig you can imagine in plastic and hand tied hair jigs, plus we had two poles out with shiners with only one bite. I bet we saw thousands of fish stacked up in the channel at the Hwy 33 bridge. Oh well, there is always next time. We were blessed with a good time and the Lord got us home safe and sound with only our fish catching abilities in question. LOL.

I fish 7 days a week; some days for fish, everyday for men.
I wonder if fishing pressure had something to do with the lack of bite? I'm sure those perch at Darbonne have seen every jig under the sun by now. I was reading about fishing pressure the other day on the internet and I knew that pressure would effect deer hunting but never thought about it for fishing. Who knows?
Looks like y'all made a smart move! Congratulations, that crappie couvillion looks awesome!!![]()

Awesome catch! I grew up fishing that lake. My granddad built a camp just before Port O Bisteneau down the old butler camp rd. but in the 40's.
