Today my Grandson Logan joined me for a trip. It was cloudy, foggy, misty, and nice fishing weather. Made me think of late winter (end of January and February). We ended up with 4 bass, 11 nice gills, and 4 chinks plus an assortment of colored things. Logan also caught a couple of yellow bass which we returned to the water. They really made his day start off good as they were the first 2 fish landed. He also had a nice 2 pound bass shake off as he was trying to get it into the boat. I had one sac hook up that shook off at the boat, it was the only one I saw today except for a 6 in one another fellow landed.

Some gills, chinks, and some bass filets.

Some of those colored things.

I just don't understand leaving a perfectly good float and jig hang in a tree or on a stump that is within reach, and we didn't pick them all up.
