If anyone know of a spot to go on any lake near Shreveport that you don't have to know well to find fish to do a little drifting please chime in. We used to go down to Huxley Bay on Toledo and Johnson's Ranch on Caddo. I just don't want to waste a whole day if it ain't happening there. Thanks

I hit Bist Friday 12/16. Launched from port at daylight. Water temp 50 and a bit stained. Only caught 8 crappie, but 4 were right at 2 pounds. Very slow bite. We were practically only boat out there. It's not happening yet, I think the water a bit too dingy. That place really gets going with cold clear water. Another couple weeks in my opinion. Was spider rigging in areas that are right for this time of year. I will probably hit it again right after Christmas. Will let you know. Cypress is best bite going right now.
