We're a lot in the same then. I've been sculling for must of my life out of a lightweight 10' tin. Mostly hauling it through the woods to diff spots that are ripe for diff seasons.
It teaches you to slow down and you spend a lot more time on the structure you fish than the average guy who can run to the next top quickly.
Had a plastic two man boat for a while with a TM but that sucker got heavy going solo. CREATED A LOT OF GOOD MEMORIES WITH MY SON THOUGH.
