I've fished Larto for about 10 years now, but always in the colder months. I was looking for something to try during the summer and researched the subject here on the forum. I decided to give it a try and have been mostly successful. I'm still learning and every trip out IS a learning experience. What I've learned so far; start your depth shallow and work deeper. If you are marking fish and they won't bite, move and try to find a school that is more active. If you are catching trash fish; gar, goo or catfish; change colors. You probably won't catch big numbers, but they will be quality fish. 20-25 fish is a great day. I find that I have better success fishing around the feeding periods according to the lunar tables. This is what I have learned fishing Larto this summer. I have yet to try other local lakes. I'm going to continue trolling to see how far it takes me into the fall and winter.
