Same here. It's hit or miss when the MS is still flowing in. My best trips were with the stage at 19 ft catching them on the ends of piers and all the way down. If I remember correctly, the MS stops flowing in at the dam around 14-15 ft. One of my dad's best trips recently was with the stage around 25-26 ft. He wore the sacs out on crickets in about 3 feet of water in the woods on the north bank while trying for bream.
