    These posts and photos are great! Makes me want to make the 300 mile trip to fish there.

    George if you use Google earth or maps and find lake verret near Pierre Part La. you can then find the launches. There are a couple near the town of Pierre Part on the north end and one on the south end called Attakapas Landing on the South end. There are a few others but those are the main ones. That whole area from Pierre Part to Morgan City/Amelia is great for fishing. The hurricanes have played havoc with the area but it seems to be coming back strong. At one time Lake Verret was the premier sacalait lake in South La.

    Very good post Gene, thanks. I fished West Lake Verret several times back in the day when Shell had all those drilling rigs working the region on barges while I was working in the area, this was probably 25 years ago. Serious crappie were caught back then, don't know now. Enjoyed everyone's pictures, thanks again.
