Welcome to the forum.. Bundick's is a tricky lake to fish. I have never really fished the spawn either but have caught a few fish around some of the docks. I am like Dwyane, we fish deep water, anywhere from about 7 ft deep to 24 ft deep. Fishing tight lining with anywhere from 1 to 4 jigs per line. The lake is loaded with stumps and they will eat all your tackle if your not careful.. If you are gonna be successful fishing deeper waters there, a depth finder is a must. Find the deeper holes and fish the edges of them. Find what depth the fish are staging at and fish that depth and just above it.. And have a variety of colors because the slightest change in jig color can make a world of difference out there. as for Calcasieu, I don't fish it, so I can't really help you out on it.. I would just try to find structure in the water, a log sticking up, branches hanging down in the water, etc.. and fish around it. During the spawn, I would think fishing grass lines or around the bases of trees if there are any along the banks. Maybe try throwing a beetle spin or a jig or shiner under a cork.
You can't fish with a hung line!
