Well, I booked my first ever vacation in one of the lodges at Poverty Point Lake. We are going to be there the day after Easter and have the lodge for four nights. We will be in lodge number two. The whole family is planning to be there off and on. Our daughters and grandchildren will be there and at least one son-in-law. The other son-in-law may be back working in Pennsylvania by then. I hope I can put my 8 year old grandson and 12 year old granddaughter on a few fish. They love to fish, but their dad, the one who is coming, isn't much of an outdoorsman and I don't have many opportunities to take them. I'd love to see them tie into a 1-2 lb. fish.

Those crappie better watch out. Pastor and family are coming after them. Just kidding. I'll probably be lucky to catch a mess all week. But, I am excited about my first multi-day trip with the family to Poverty Point. Hopefully the fish will be in the mood to attack my jigs by then.

The rest of ya'll better book the week before Easter or the first week of April because the fish will NOT bite while I am there. LOL.

All joking aside, if you are thinking of booking the week after Easter, you better get busy. All of the cabins on the water are already booked and there are only 2 of the lodges left for that week, as of Sunday afternoon.

If any crappie.com members are booked the same week, give me a shout. Maybe we can fish together one day. If anyone has any tips that might help me get the grandkids on a few fish, please let me know. I promise not to catch all of the crappie out of PP. LOL.
