    Default Back To The Lac

Des Allemands that is. Great day for catch n. Blue sky, no clouds, not much wind.

Two Bald Eagles greeted me atop the high lines. Big White Heron gave me a hello/goodbye while I loaded up at the landing.Must have been a few dozen Brown Pelicans begging for scraps.

My route goes over the Bonnet Carré Spillway on I10. Water moving thru fast and lot's of birds feeding on the river bait fish.

Looked like it was gonna be a green trout day. Put a few in the box before my first sac. All fish were nice and thick. Did catch a section of perch. They like a tube too.

All fish caught on a 1/16 minnow head jig slipped threw a black, green, and Chartreuse tube. Tight lined.

I always enjoy your pictures JR, thanks. It's fun to see them after working 11 hour days.

    Hey D.A.,
I go I12 east to I55 south to I10 east to I310 south to Hwy 90 then west on 90 to Des Allemands. public launch under the 90 bridge. Takes me a hour to hour half to get there. Going the posted speed :big grin
Made a quick visit with your Uncle and cuz last week. They seem to be doing well.
