It takes a few days to feel the effects down here in the river but it should be coming. If you look at the USGS link for Atchafalaya river at Butte la Rose it has been at a standstill only changing with the tides. If the rivers up North quit diverting water to us is inevitable....the river will go down and its on !
You are right Adam. Ohio River at Cairo dictates what Atchafalaya River will do, just takes a week or so. It's like clockwork, every year.
