Thread: New Here, looking for some pointers

I sure do appreciate the kind words. I just spent most of my time fishin next to the trees and those little tree stumps sticking out the water by them. Once I figured out that they was right next to them thats pretty much what I did all day. I was kinda worried about snakes in those trees tho! I caught a couple shellcrackers a bass or two and a few rock bass to. Didnt catch much early. Most was between 10 and 12 oclock then its like they just quit til later in the day. So i just used that time to eat my snacks the wife sent me. I definitly am looking forward to fishing in that lake. Sure is pretty but man they sure does have a bunch of tree stumps in there.

Welcome 101. The free public landing is at the Butte LaRose exit. It is right between the East and West I-10 elevated roadway. There is also a visitors center there. Check it out on Google Earth and you'll see what I mean.
