Slabstacker, of the 50+ people you see on the forum very few of us know enough about Toledo Bend to be able to offer any useful advice. I think we all try to help when we can, though.

Yeah....You guys have some very valid points. But.... I know for a fact that people look around on here to get information but never post anything once they catch some fish in the same areas. I know that these are good fellas here, there is just always that 10% and that is exactly what I am referring to when I say "quit trolling" (for info) . I truly appreciate the tips fellas ...outstanding detail. I am never looking for peoples honeyholes, I just like to know what water temp is like, what fish are doing, and how deep are they before I get out there soI have starting point and a gameplan. Once again thanks for sharing fellas....GREAT POSTS !

Again......I understand your feelings, promise you I do...but, as we have discussed before, there is nothing in the rules of CDC that says that you have to post reports of your catches.....we are required to follow those rules of:
"respect for other members, nothing unfriendly, rude, angered, no personal attacks or even negative connotations towards others.......Tongue in cheek razzing is OK only if it is obvious, and you know for fact the recipient will not take offense."
Now, someone may have their "own expectations" of how people should post here but we want to be careful of offending someone else by bashing them when they have not broken any rules....we will never stop "trolling".....all we can do is change our attitude about it so that it does not anger us.....

I am also heading up there this Friday. I'll be staying off 1215. Gonna fish La Nan and San Migel areas. I hope that they not get the forecasted heavy rainfall on Thursday. Everything I'm hearing us water temps are still in mid to lower 50's.

I think I will be up there too on Saturday. My boss wants to go for bass exclusively but I may get him to bring some slab sticks along as well. If I go I will make sure to include a report...good or bad. Good luck to all!

You may be amazed at how shallow they can get, in a hurry. I've caught them in two foot of water in February. If the water gets to around 60 degrees, it can happen fast

very good info......love this la. board!!!!!!
My brothers and I go to the bend every year first weekend of April unless that weekend is Easter. Three years ago we were there when the bite was on and we literally caught over 200 fish in one day. We kept about 20 for supper and released the rest. I cannot explain how exciting it was that day. Just about every cast we caught a fish. We fished with roadrunners casting toward the bank and reeling back over 10 to 12 feet of water.
I have not caught it like that again but it sure is fun day dreaming about the possibility of doing so the next trip out. I love the bend. In 5 years when I hang up the day to day work schedule I will go more often.
I can't leave now; They fixen to turn on.
Did anybody catch any sacs at the Bend this past weekend? I'm heading up there to watch my boat slowly fill with water this coming weekend...
