Spider rigging is great fun . My wife and i do it with three poles each. But if it gets too busy we might pick up one. When i catch one she nets it and i net for her. It can be frustrating if a good fish runs across and gets in your other lines. But that is part of it. Good luck

Thanks for posting those videos, Drjay! Those were interesting and helpful. Good job on video quality, too.

I had my first experience spider rigging also on Saturday, the 31st. Didn't start off good at all. All of my prerigged hooks got all tangled in a zip lock bag (bad idea). After about 30 to 40 mins, I had all 8 lines rigged again and into the water and would you believe not even 5 minutes later, I had 3 lines tangled in one brush piles. Try stopping with a 10 mph wind with three poles bent in half (not good again). I didn't quit! I cut the mess out again and got them rigged out again. Fished for hours and didn't get the first bite (Cocodrie Lake).
Did I mention that I broke a tip on a 12' rod by it hitting against the boat while heading for the launch?
I'm not giving up. Anybody know of a decent lake to spider rig not far from Opelousas, La or anywhere within 1 to 1-1/2 hrs away?
