Well not quite a zero, but almost. My 92 year old partner and I decided to try a half day trip to Delhi yesterday and were rewarded with two small specs and 6 yellow bass. Except for an occasional rumor of a fair catch during the spawn, this lake has really "gone to pot". I know all new lakes have a good life cycle of ten years or so, but I can't help thinking that the earlier years in which limits were ignored by fishermen and enforcement was
practically non-existent have taken a heavy toll on this once great crappie lake.......should have gotten a clue when we pulled up at the south boat ramp and there was only 3 rigs there and one was leaving, but no one has ever accused me of being too smart when it comes to fishing......![]()
