Everyone is entitled to their opinion. What I stated is certainly comparable with what you feel being a sportsman is. I just feel that a fisherman intentionally searching for man-made structure rather than laying down his own is no different from the person that calls themselves a hunter but searches out someone else's flag line when deer season opens because they didn't want to bother scouting. I am fair, courteous, conservative and good-natured, but respect the efforts of others. Sure, fish the natural structure and if you run across a brush pile, good for you. I just feel it's wrong to set out with the intention of looking for them because you have the "gadgets" to do so.

By no means was i talking about finding others brushpiles sacalady i was talking about finding natural structure or log jams and adding to those i know several people who build there own brushpiles and i have found a lot of them and i stay away from those out of respect for fellow fisherman/outdoors men especially if i know who they belong to!!!! now if i do happen upon one while fishing i will try it out but the easy to find one usually are not that great anyways these new electronics such as down/side imaging depth finders really do locate alot of stuff and i think they will be the death of certain "TOP SECRET" spots or brushpiles it just makes it to easy to locate them but i am a firm beliver in having them especially when it gets tough!!!

Ok so far I have 10 pallets that I plan on making steak beds out of. I'm going by lowes and hd to price irrigation tubing to add to them and also plan on making a few PVC trees. I have about 5 cinder blocks now and plan on getting a truck load soon. I have been trolling the structure forum looking at different set ups and have a few ideas. I called fish and game to ask and they said as long as it's not in the channel where it's gonna mess someone's boat up its fine to put it out. Now I just need to talk to the C.O.E.
Ok so I have been looking at a few spots that I think will definitely hold fish I have deep spots and shallow spots some on the south side some on the north. Are there any places in particular that we could place some things that are outta the wind?
