    Default Mermentau River report

Well I went Wednesday for a couple hours. Barometer started dropping like a rock about 10:30. By 11:45 it quit and so did the sacalait. I finished with 16 good fish.

I went again this afternoon with my wife and one of her friends. Barometer was stuck on 29.9 and never moved. We finished with 7 fish and some slabs. Bite was slow but the fish were nice.

What I have noticed it there biting in spots but not bitting everywhere. Fish still have war paint and eggs but I think there staging back out. The swamp is dead find a hard bank are risk scratching. I hope all this helps.

Here are a few pics from Wednesday and today. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1396666280.649959.jpg

Two of us went in Plaqumine today and caught 5. It was as you described in swamp vs. hard bank. Does seem like they have moved back to staging as you said. Thanks for the report.

Yes all mine today was on hard bank. The canal I was in had hard bank on one side and soft graasy on the other. All fish caught on the drop off on the hard bank.

    Default Mermentau River report

Part of me wished I was fishing today as my dog decided to crash and burn at the Hunt test. The judges may have passed him but I was thoroughly disappointed. Well there is always tomorrow and a chance for redemption.

For the brave men who fished in the 20+ mph wind today, hats off to you. S86 stay on em and Mermentau I just hope somehow I was able to help.

    Until next time, God bless.
