Thread: One of my best fishing trips ever! With a pic :)

After work today, I had to take the kids home from school and decided to make a quick trip to the lake for a few crappie that my dad had pin-pointed. I met up with him in my freshly rigged stick steer and he in his. I think he caught 42.. I had my eldest son, my 9 yr. old daughter on her first ever fishing trip, and my 5yr. old youngest son. We caught probably about 35 crappie in about 2 hours, my daughter catching 11 all by herself. I was having the best time ever watching them catch fish. My 5 year old was my winch man and my other two were catching on their own. I believe I have made a fisherman out of her for sure! She didn't want to quit when it got dark! I am looking forward to her going fishing with me and telling Mom and Grandmommy that she'd rather go fishing than go shopping with them....
It's rare that a fishing adventure goes so smoothly with small kids, but every once in a while cosmic forces come together. Here's a pic of my prize fishing partner and one of her nicer fish. If you look closely, you can almost see a proud dad's smile peeking around the side of the lens.......
Big bro was just a little jealous!
