Mermentau, I am not familiar with it.

Lake Fausse point might be a good place to try or perhaps Stevensville.

Tracker, thanks for bringing up Stevensville. I think thats where Ill go actually. Where can I find info on a place to launch at? What body of water are you fishing exactly when you say Stevensville? Ive heard people talk about it but Im pretty clueless on the area. Is it a lake, and how should I fish it?

Be aware that the river is rising and will be on the rise for the next two weeks or longer. The basin has many good places to go but not on a rise.

The name of the landing is Doiron's landing on highway 70.
You can fish canals along lake Paloure or you can fish Grassy lake. There are some good fishing spots within minutes of the landing. The people at Doiron's store can help you also

you are too kind Vet.....experience does not always mean catching.....I got the experience but not the talent like JR, the Fisherman and others......
