Just hook up your charger. It will out pace the pump. Shouldn't be a problem.

10-4 on hooking up the battery charger. I was just wondering about the times I wouldn't have access to power when making a weekend trip. Rees Guide says the lil pump will not draw the battery down?

You could also add a Livewell timer to it if you are worried about battery drain. It would run 1 minute every 7 minutes.

I wonder if this would work on a 70 qt cooler as a bait well? I have an old wheeled 70qt that serves me no purpose and I could use a place to keep shiners.

Just do the math and you don't have to guess.

Very nice bait cooler, I can see this being good for shiners and those who fish saltwater shrimp as well!! Good job!
