    We put in at the state park because Lesters at Hwy 2 was Jammed. The water is about one foot above normal level. Where we found the males normaly be at 7 ft, the water was slightly muddy but was easy to see the trolling motor in the water. One 1/2 pound male I expected to get off the hook. the Jig had Foul hooked the fish just behind the Gill cover in a soft flesh area. I guess I snuck up on him. There was almost no fish showing on Sonar as they were on the Bottom....... Slip- You are right about Stowe creek. I usually miss the early spawn in that area and find Red ears on the beds the Crappie just left.
