@vet, Went back to big Bama yesterday, and boy is that water pretty. It's up a couple of feet but still nice and clear. Saw a 6' gator swimming just under water alongside the boat about 8' off to the side. We were doing the same speed. I smacked the water with my paddle and he made a dive. Only managed 2 crappie with one being 13". Nice to see the place has some big ones. Totally alone on the water. Really would like to have seen someone. Wind really came up hard as the morning progressed. Pulled out at 1:00pm.

That will not satisfy the need for the anticipation of the next flip of the jig or shiner. This thread is not an expression of dissatisfaction or sadness or gloom or anything negative. It is an expression of life as it truly is. There are not many places where expression of feelings are allowed or accepted. On a day to day basis I think about sacalait. In the mornings I find myself pretending that instead of doing my normal daily things, whatever that may be, I find myself looking outside, feeling the temp. , looking at the sky, noting the falling or rising pressures, and the adrenaline begins to flow. I know that the next trip is coming and I have that to look forward to. I also look forward to your pics and stories at the end of the day and during the down times. Fishing is a passion of ours and the fire burns bright day and night for this activity. It just has to wait sometimes and this thread has just made things alot better for me. .....27 days.

I know that feeling well Vet. After Linda and I fished together for 15 joyful years from when first married, things changed and we had to give it up for a dozen or so years. It was a lot to give up but a man has to do what a man has to do, and one thing is pay the bills and buy the groceries. Now times have changed and we're back at it again, and thankful for it.
