You never know. I'm going to try my regular haunts at Toledo Bend the first day, then to the coop the second day just to see. I am not after a cooler full, just quality fish will work just fine with me.

Come in on 6 through Many. The four way stop sign is Toledo Town. They have shiners there.

Vet, I was reading you post on the off topic forum about cold and addiction. I know where you're coming from. My addiction goes back at least 55 years and the yearning was there before that. Then when it comes to the cold here are a couple of pictures from 1969.

    Ice covered dock.

    The the boat ride.

    My bass boat

My first trolling motor. A transom clamp on model from Western Auto which I made a bracket for and mounted in up front on the side.

    Fish

Yep that was really me in the photos.

I love looking at old pictures like that. Brings back memories. Looks like you were a hippie fisherman. (LOL) Thanks for sharing.

I had a pleasant surprise today. A local fella who reads the forum but isn't a member "yet", rang my doorbell. He saw the old pictures I posted and knew the exact spot of the icy dock. He chased me down through another member and came for a visit. We had a grand time talking about our fishing spots as we've hunted and fished the same area for years. After sharing some fishing stories and such we decided we'd hook up for a fishing trip soon. I'm looking forward to that. He showed me a half cooler of nice slabs that he had on ice from his last trip. I must say he did well.
