nice.....just a word of caution about braided line.....it will not stretch so you can not horse a sac out because it will tear the hook right out of his mouth......now monofilament will stretch so it gives some and you can pull and keep a tight line without the fear of that......most of the time......they both have good qualities.....

I will tell you that you need to make sure the eyes on your jig hooks are closed all of the way with that fishing line. I use a braided line that is equivalent 4lb mono and every once in a while I will lose a jig when the fish hits it. I will feel the hit and when I try to set the hook nothing is there. I pull up my line and the jig will be gone. Of course I don't tie down tight either; I use a loop knot so that the jig moves quite a bit. You may not have a problem. Just wanted to share my experience. It may save you the next world record.

My experience with braid is, it will wrap on everything it gets close to. Rod tip, bush, tree limb, or anything else. The only advantage I can see to braid and crappie fishing is, it is much more sensitive. Most of my fishing is shallow, therefore that is not a factor for me. I like a little stretch on the hook set, as I tend to set the hook a little hard. Good luck, hope it works great for you

Tal, another tip. Loosen your drag some so that you can pull the line straight off the reel easily. When you put a bow in the pole the friction of all those guides increases the load it takes to strip drag. If you're not careful you can pop you graphite rods on a hookset. To see what I'm talking about run your line through the eyes just like you're fishing and tie or hook the line onto something solid. With your pole pointed straight to what you tied you line to and walk slowly back. Set it where pull drag fairly easy. Then pick up the pole and make an arc with it and see how much harder it is to pull drag. When in use, if you catch a big fish you can point the pole at him and let him take line with worrying about popping something. When he tires you arc your pole and start cranking him in. By varying the amount of arc you put in your rod you vary the amount of pressure it takes to pull drag. I hope you understand what I'm saying.
