devils in the details....???what does that mean anyway??? launched from public ramp...went north..to the flats...now that I'm sure I know where that is..Thanks PS and SWAMMPERS.... north...no boats..no fish...no action..saw garfish....the gar must be tolerant of low O2 water...not even bait fish moving....wanted a non crowd situation..stayed an hour and a half....drank some powerade as it was HOTTTTTTT...gave in to my gut and went amocoville...i.e. Boulevard canal??? learned something new again...thats exciting....pulled up to a not crowded spot in the canal heading to mcgees BEFORE amoco canal on the right as I'm not sure about north-suoth ETC...fished the black and chartreuse triple tail 15 inches or so under a corkslipbobberfloatstrikeindicatorblahblah....low and behold a sacalait ends up in my boat...Iknow..hard to believe esp. for me.....fished the grass some more nibble nibble fished the wood..nibbles.... kept working ....and then my float(peg float BTW) got tangled because of my line...which I will post there next...my line that has 1 billion times the memory as me...finally ticked me off....retied..no float...put the float in my pocket...turned on some reggae music...I know right??and began to swim and twitch the 3 tail through and around the grass and what looks like open water...caught 11 more...swimming and twitching the 3 tail...JR...you inspired me with the pic of your jigging poles...because as of that day I decided to bring less live bait and get some CONFIDENCE in the jig....the float seemed to limit my presentation although I LOVE to see that cork go down......ended up with 12 and no I did not go back today...and YES DANG(PS) it I wanted to...but you know life is what it is and I am very happy with that..........I really wanted to go fishing...YES....Family is more important....YES.....all fish caught in 1 to 3 feet deep....50 to 70 feet out from the lilies....not on wood cover for me at least...bait fish everywhere...caught PS size bass...did think about you....JR thanks for all 3 tail advice and for the supplier of the baits....Randy....you and ANN are responsible for this....but thank you very much....I want everyone to realize that for a few hours yesterday I had so much fun and the reason is now there is a network of people who are willing to teach and share and SUPPORT... this is my new beginning and when I'm done, as I told my family yesterday, I want to be a fisherman that can be able to share with others as you all have shared with me.....YA'LL WAKE UP NOW...I'm done......
