    Default Mermentau River-7/17/2013

Had the river to myself except for SR and his brother and one other boat. I managed to catch 9 sacs with the same tactics that SR was using. 4' deep under a cork in 6-12 FOW. I just did get finished before a real nasty squall came through that would have had me wind bound for sure if I was still on the water.

I watched the news and saw all the people dieing across the country from the heat and I wonder why it dosen't finish me off. Sometimes I feel real close even with all the water I'm chugging down.

Nice catch, catching one from a kayak has to be equal to catching 10 from a regular boat

So true. I hardly drank anything in my moterized days compared to now. The down side of the motor is that you cool off running and so it seems way hotter when you stop. Like going in and out of AC

Nice catch. What are you staying hydrated with. I recommend a camelback. They are almost hands free so you actually will drink more and the keep the water pretty cool.

Camal Back would be nice. We bring 6 bottles of water per person. Advantge of the bottles it's easy to share.
