Default Going to Larto for the first time.

Heading to the lake on Friday 2-18 for my first trip ever on larto.Should be a good day if this warmer weather holds up. Coming in from Vidalia thru Jonesville. I would appreciate any tips on where to launch and where to fish. I am heading up to hunt squirrels on Sat. with Jim Bob and Stork of Redneck Adventures for thier annual squirrel hunt. Again any advice would be appreciated.

You can launch on Larto at Uncle Bud's and also at the gas station about a mile down the road. I don't know what they've been doing in the lake itself, but the white perch have been biting well in the Saline complex. Some people are catching them in the middle of the channels fishing deep, but I've done well fishing along the bank in about 2 feet of water.

I am also going to Larto for the first time. Will arrive Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon at Uncle Bud's. I'll be in a Tracker boat, most likly by myself. My wife will prefer to be back at the cabin with the two labs.

The water is up spme so any of the launches are good. We did pretty good (as many as I wanted to clean) out in the middle on the back of the island. Ask the folks at Uncles Bud's they will tell you where their at.
