Default Up the Blood River in our pirate ship.

Well...maybe a stick steer fishing boat.
We went back to Tickfaw yesterday and fished the Blood above the private marina. All together we caught 15 fish...better than we have done in that area in a while. One nice crappie at the mouth of Lizard Creek (one small one up the creek), one choupique about 1/2 mile up from the marina, and the rest were bass all up and down the Blood. Didn't fish the Tickfaw or Natalbany at all this trip. All fish were on shiners under a slip cork about 2-3 ft in mostly 6 FOW. One couple we talked to were having some success with black/chart. jig 2 ft under a cork...but I didn't get a hit with one or blue/white either. We kept one nice crappie and four bass...enough for a couple of dinners for the two of us.

Now for another week at work...bummer.

Hey Bruce, catch anything at Cherami?

    Hey GB,

Thanks for the report. It's good to hear the fish are still there. Sure is pretty up the Blood.

Don't kid about the pirates, Jean Lafitte made his rounds up the Tickfaw. There's sunken Civil War treasure in that area too.
    Sunken CW War Ship Found

I'm having trouble decisions were to go this weekend. Thinking Bayou Corne, Bayou Pigeon or maybe the Tickfaw.

Sounds like you two had a day of it. You get those back in the same spot?
