What areas do you find the things in? Bottoms....hills.....north slopes....south slopes....I have no idea since I'm always on the water this time of year, but would like to try eating some since I've never had them.

I'd like the same info too, please. I walked about 2 miles in the woods yesterday and my feet hurt! Didn't see a darn thing. I live near Big Bear and would just like some general direction, not spots. Thanks guys! BBD

Went to Mammoth Cave today and found 30-40 [haven't counted yet]. Some whites and blacks but mostly peckerheads.

Found 6-7 within 4" of the road. Some as close as 2 ft.

Hated to take time out of my Crappie fishin but I like them too.

Rowdy, we checked with the park and it is legal to take shrooms, berries, and some other things...You are right though you will go to jail for harvrsting gensing...Doesnt make much sense to me but that is how it is. They give little instruction sheets and "tater sack" bags at the visitors center. They ask that you limit yourself to 2 gallons though.

    Thanks for mentioning it though
