.....I just viewed it for myself a few minutes ago; access to the KY River from the Madison County side via 977 (College Hill Ramp) is no longer available; there's a steel post sunk in the ground rite smack dab in the middle of the road and the ramp has been graded over with soil and sowed with grass at the river's edge. I don't know what has happened, but I suspect, I suspect mind you, that there's a landowner's quarrel going on here.
I'm posting this just to let you know.
You can still come over to the Clark County side for access to this pool of the KY River.
Sorry; this ramp has been used for years by the public, and now things have changed.........

I wished I was kidding; I took my boat out of the water (on the Clark side) around the first week of October and the ramp on the Madison side was still open then, although there had been some excavation earlier (Aug/Sept) that had actually widened the mouth of the ramp and the bank was graded back and it was a major improvement as far as accessibility goes (I thought the state was doing it). That was the last time I was down there until the other day when I made this post and it was a surprise to me to see the post in the middle of the road and the end of the road graded over with dirt and sowed with grass.
Update: I was down to the river the other day and it appears that the post that was blocking the ramp is now gone. ???
