Wink IF you go to ....

Cedar Creek ... fish the banks with fallen trees/branches - less than 4ft of water. Or fish the back ends of creeks/bays, in the standing timber, same water depth. Move frequently, or at least after catching a few from one spot ... if they're still trying to spawn, they're probably scattered more than they were when Fred & I fished. If the spawn is pretty much over, it's going to be a bit harder to find/catch them, for a little while. (see my post about Fred & CP's adventure ... check out pics for types of areas to try).

If you go to Herrington ... I defer to Fred's info :p He's on top of what's happening there. My trip there, with him, was my first Crappie fishing trip to Herrington ... in over 10yrs (but, I'm hoping it won't be another 10yrs before I get back to it :D )

There is no size limit on either lake, and the creel limit is 30/person/day on both. Herrington has produced 2lb fish for me, in the past ... but, the 9" fish I caught at Cedar Creek was the biggest one I've caught from there, ever. :p

    ... luck2ya ... cp

ps --- see this post : Any New Updates on Cedar Creek Lake .... according to the results (catching mostly males) I'd say the spawn is pretty much over, and the males are guarding nests/fry.
