I went Friday and it was super slow.
Just what I expected with the water falling more than a foot per day.
I only got 2 keepers, around 11" each. (white crappie)
They were caught in 20' of water on minnows.
They had no bulging from eggs so if they were females then it's good
news that they haven't begun to spawn.
So maybe the spawn will still be good this year-I hope.
I saw a lot of carp against the bank.
I couldn't catch anything in shallow, not even the usual gill.
Water looked good, temps in the upper 60's. I even saw 70 a
couple of times.
By next weekend it should take off and be good if the water levels out.
That falling water really kills it.
