    Default Nolin crappie

Anyone been fishing for crappie at Nolin this week. I'm planning on going this weekend, but won't get down until Sunday afternoon. I'm hoping they move up this week. Lake should be about right by this weekend with the weather this week. Hope they don't spawn out before I get there. Bryan

Two friends of mine fished on Friday and said they only got about 10 keepers and had to work real hard for them, but the water was still up and the corp was still drawing the lake really hard. The better fish were still in a little deeper water. I was down last evening to work on the dock but didn't get a chance to fish. The water had cleared up alot and looked really good. Should be back to summer pool within the next couple of days. Good luck and let us know how you do.

I fished Wed. caught 20 keepers, drawdown had fish pretty scattered. Most productive was 4ft in 6.5--7ft. Did catch a few off the bank and then a few
in the middle of no where. Was slow trolling and flipping the bank. Temps were 66-am, 70-pm

Did it look like they had started spawning yet? The water is only a foot above summer pool this morning. They should be ready to do there business. I'll be down on Sunday.

What part of nolin did you fish at? I've been putting in at Iberia, went today and caught a few.

I usually fish that area of the lake. We have a cabin in Nolin lake estates and I can see the Iberia bridge from the deck.

I`ve been fishing dog creek area, caught 10 Sat. am, before the sun came out, after that caught 3 the rest of afternoon?? The morning bites came tight up against rock banks with a little wood.
