Man with all this rain, water's gonna be muddy. Muddy water & cold front's not good but some nice sunny days could turn'um on. :D

Hey Slabmaster, Where are you from? I know of Wardlow through a couple of friends of mine in Edmonson County.
Take your kids hunting and fishing, and you won't be hunting your kids

    Default Blood River

Anyone have any fishing reports for the blood river area? We will be coming down the week of 3/24 thru 3/30. I was wondering if the high water will hurt our efforts and if the Blacks have moved up into the shallows yet? Any help would be appreciated.

I've been catching blacks in shallow water for nearly 2 weeks now baring the cold fronts. The lake is way up and probably gonna go to 365. I've forund some water temps in the mid 50's late on sunny days. Be prepared to get your boat scratched up if you're gonna fish for the black. They'll be burried up in the buck brush like the old days. next we is gonna tell the tail on our black crappie spawn this year. All the black I've been catching have been about to bust. all they're waiting on is a few mor degrees and they'll spawn. If TVA drops the lake when they spawn there goes this year's crop. If the water stays high well have a great spawn. Lots of cover for the fry fight now with the flooded brush and all.

The white I've been catch'n have been between 12' and 14'. Good Luck.

Deerhunt...I hope they don't start pulling the bottom out of it by then. The water is still up and I anticipate it staying that way for a few more days but who can tell. It should hold up but you'll just have to keep a watch on the levels.

Go to this website and click on the reservoir you want and it will give you the info. you are looking for.

    http://www.tva.gov/river/lakeinfo/index.htm

The website says it's at 367ft. and rising and that Pickwick Dam will be spilling until further notice. 359ft. is normal summer pool.

I was in Missouri all week and the whole state is under water. The Miss. river @ Dyersburg is out of the banks. TN river is not going to drop until the Missouri and Ohio get under control. Indiana is flooded also. We may see 368.
