    Default Buckhorn Lake

I am going to Buckhorn Lake the first weekend in April. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on where to fish there. I have never been there but have some pretty good things.

Keith, I also live in Eastern KY. This end of the state doesn't generate as much interest on the message board as the western end. We're new here and are just starting to explore the local lakes, so we'd love to hear about Buckhorn. I hope some other people can post some replies.

One of my students told me that the party scene on Buckhorn is pretty full-bore in the summer: lots of pleasure boaters and some special areas that are reserved for over-the-top behavior. It's probably too early in the season for that to be a concern.

Where else do you like to fish? We've checked out the I-75 corridor--Linville, Wood Creek, and Laurel River--but still haven't figured out how to put fish in the boat. Also hoping to have a weekend on Wood Creek pretty soon.

I am pretty new to Ky also. But, I have fished in Cave Run a few times and have done ok there. Caught several fish but nothing of any real good size.
