i live in Williamstown and have fished this lake all my life. It does have a population of crappie, and they can be caught. Best bet is early spring and late fall. It gets a lot of boat traffic in the summer and the crappie slow way down. Might get into them during the middle of the week but the rest of the time they are fighting to stay off the shore from the waves. Tons of docks on this lake, and its hit or miss as to which ones hold fish. A lot of the locals have brush all around thier docks as well. Best luck is probably with minnows under a slip float around the docks, deeper ones the better, but you can catch them on about anything. Good luck1

Mistertwister, thanks alot for the info. My girlfriend has family down there in williamstown, we try and get down that way at least once a month or as much as we can. We allways go right past the lake and i have never been out that way to fish. I figure that i might try and get on the lake a couple times when were down that way. One thing that yall have down there on your lake is docks. Up here eastfork is my home lake and we dont have any docks on are lake. I myself like fishin docks, its allways been a favorite for me. Well thanks so much for the info and good fishin to ya. Thanks.

    Default Plenty of Crappie

I fish Williamstown for crappie in the spring and the fall and some days can catch over a hundred a day, but....they are mostly small ones. Best day I had last year was I had 12 keepers over 10". There are some nice crappie in the lake you just have to find them.
