    Default Blood River

Will be coming down the week of 3/24 thru 3/30 and was wondering if there are any reports for blood river? Is this high water going to hurt our efforts and also wondering if the blacks have moved into the shallows yet? Any help is appreciated.

Blood River has been dead, but w/ rising temps and water levels I wouldn't be surprised if you find them in the VERY backs of the bays in the buckbrush very soon. Been years since I've caught them in the buckbrush, but I see no reason why they shouldn't be there. Might be worth bringing you a pair of wader where you can fish it if the wind gets up. FYI...I don't know if the trend will continue, but the guys I know as well as myself have found the crappie to be MUCH more cooperative in Big Sandy and it might be worth the drive if Blood is slow when you get here.
