    Talking New to Crappie.jCom

    Hello fellow fisherman/fishcatchers.

Just joined the board, but have been reading it for about 3 years. Have found lot's of Good Info on here and hope I can contribute my 2 cents worth on occasion. Always interested in what's going on in Kentucky, my home state.

Grew up and lived in Western Kentucky, not to far from Lake Barkley/Ky Lake area, but job took me out of state for most of my working life and never got to do as much fishing on the "twin lakes" as I would have wanted to.

Good News, I retired last spring and look forward to fishing as much as I can this spring in Western Ky. Bad News/Good News, wife and I will be relocating to our retirement home in Central KY this fall (Jamestown area, near Lake Cumberland), which is near our grandchildren. Wife did have some influence in this decision, i.e., fish or grandchildren?, but hay, I think I would have made the same decision without out her input...

Enjoy fishing year round, .....preference, in no order, but enjoy SM bass , LM bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish, and not to forget sauger and stripers, .... or anything else that swims for that matter.... I never Winterize my boat, try to get it on the water at least once a month.

    Good Fishing to All,
    Gary

I see you're relatively familiar with how to negotiate the site, and use all the bells and whistles (esp the self editing one :p ... but, don't worry about a few misspelled words, this ain't English class, and we don't grade your spelling :D )

Thanks for the offer, I just may take you up on that latter this year. Have only fished LC about 4 times and then it was for SM. Hope to find a few areas that hold some crappie. I have and will be launching out of either Jamestown, State Park or Halcomb's Landing. Have done most of my fishing in Greassy (sp?) Creek. Looks like that could be a good area, once you get back in the creek, past the Jamestown water intake pumps??? Any comments would be appreciated.

    Good Fishing to all,
    Gary
