The middle of the day is the toughest.
There's no doubt that T-ville can be stingy with its fish. And not all "spots" are equal ... even when they're very similar in cover/depth. Having a "milk run" of 5 or 6 spots to try, is a good thing !!
Haven't fished the waning hours of the day, but usually have had success from the crack of dawn until midday sun has removed all shade from over my spots. I'm wondering if my early AM spots are some of the same as your late PM ones :D (wouldn't surprise me none )
